Consultant Paediatrician | Child Development & Community Child Health | Regional Health Service

An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Paediatrician with a focus on Child Development to join a well-established regional health service delivering care across multiple rural campuses.

This is a full-time, part-time, or sessional opportunity across permanent or fixed-term arrangements.

The Role

You will lead and support paediatric child development services across multiple regional sites, including:

  • Child development assessment and management across community and outpatient settings
  • Collaboration with allied health professionals in multidisciplinary teams
  • Clinical leadership in child health and developmental paediatrics
  • Contribution to child protection and complex developmental care
  • Teaching, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff and clinicians
  • Quality improvement, service development, and clinical governance activities

You will play a key role in improving developmental outcomes for children and families across rural communities.

  • Child development and child health services across several regional hubs
  • Integrated multidisciplinary teams including allied health and nursing staff

What We’re Looking For

  • Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA in Paediatrics
  • Strong experience in developmental paediatrics and child health
  • Experience in child protection and complex paediatric care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to rural and community-based healthcare
  • Interest in teaching, mentoring, and service development
